Pride of Performance, Aziz Mian Qawwal's 9th death anniversary passed away 2 days back quietly, Artist of traditional Qawwali bought fame to his nation, Their was no mention of his anniversary by any organization, PTV or private channel.
Abdul Aziz AKA Aziz Mian Qawwal was born on 17 April 1942. Government of Pakistan presented him with a Pride of Performance Award in 1989. He wrote all his own qawwalis. Aziz Mian obtained M.A. degrees in Arabic, Persian, Persian literature, Urdu literature, and History from the University of Punjab, Lahore. He died from complications of hepatitis in Tehran, Iran on December 6, 2000, also is buried in Iran.
